Lochcarron is a village of about 900 residents situated on the shores of Loch Carron in Wester Ross, on the west coast about 65 miles from Inverness.

In and around the village there are restaurants, a cafe, pubs, shops, and garages. Bike and kayak hire is available. There is a nine-hole golf course at the east end of the village.
